John E. Hull
Financial Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
John Hull serves as the Foundation’s Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer, with oversight of all financial matters for the Foundation, including investments, financial controls and accounting, and payroll and purchasing functions. Mr. Hull also works closely with other Foundation officers and staff in a general managerial capacity.
From 1985 to 2002, Mr. Hull served as the deputy comptroller for investments and cash management in the Office of the State Comptroller for the State of New York. In that capacity, he functioned as the chief investment officer for the $112 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund and as the director for the general cash and debt management activities for the State of New York. During that same period, Mr. Hull was the co-executive director and treasurer of the New York Local Government Assistance Corporation and, in 1998, helped to implement the New York State College Savings Program. Before being appointed the deputy comptroller, Mr. Hull served in other capacities in the Office of the State Comptroller.
