Executive Assistant to William G. Bowen

Johanna Brownell joined the Foundation in 2006. She earned a B.A. from Hunter College with a major in Russian Language and Literature and a minor in Classical Studies. She then earned an M.A. in Education from NYU. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Brownell worked as Administrative & Program Director at The Moscow Institute for Advanced Studies in New York. Among other talents, Ms. Brownell is fluent in Russian and has served as a translator and researcher, as well as edited a series of books of poetry.
