Jackie Clay
Jackie Clay is a program associate in the Arts and Culture program at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2021, Ms. Clay served as executive director and curator at the Coleman Center for the Arts, a contemporary arts organization that produces socially engaged public art projects in the Alabama Black Belt region. She holds dual-interdisciplinary degrees in curatorial practice and visual + critical studies from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. In addition to her work in Sumter County, Ms. Clay hosts Monograph, a documentary series produced by Alabama Public Television that focuses on creative practice both inside and outside the framework of the traditional arts. She has contributed to catalogs including Prospect 4, black is a color, and An Impulse to Keep, the Greenwood Art Project catalog.
