Wayne F. Wright

Wayne F. Wright joined the foundation in 2022 and serves as the Foundation's security engineer in information technology.  With over 20 years of experience prior to Mellon Foundation, Mr. Wright held security lead positions at VNS Health and BASF, he has focused on strategic directions of information security as it relates to the design and implementation of comprehensive information security programs including protection for customers personally identifiable information (PII), and personal health information (PHI).  As a team member, Mr. Wright focused on information security of production data centers, cloud computing architecture security and support, desktop, and mobile devices, security incident response, patch management, vulnerability assessments, security appliance management, mobile device management, identity management, SEIM management including threat hunting and reporting those findings along with policy definition and enforcement including the development of those security policies, standards and guidelines to ensure a secure infrastructure is in place to protect against threats.

Mr. Wright holds an electrical engineering technical certification from DeVry University.  Through the years he held a prior CISSP, a solutions architect in AWS, ITIL, and several Microsoft certifications.  Mr. Wright, for many years, has volunteered in tutoring adult literacy programs at local libraries and mentorship for veterans through the ACP organization.
