to support an interdisciplinary project focused on birds that will engage students, faculty, and community members in reclaiming environmental knowledge already existing in borderlands Indigenous and Mexican American communities; train graduate and undergraduate students in transdisciplinary and community-based research methodologies; develop collaborative university/community partnerships and create broad public access to humanities-led programming to advance local environmental justice
