Susanne Pichler

Susanne Pichler is the director of library and archives. In this capacity, she manages a collection of resources and services to support the Foundation’s research and information needs.

Prior to joining Mellon, Susanne was the head librarian for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She served as a reference and collections development librarian in the General Research Division of the New York Public Library Research Libraries. Susanne began working in libraries as an undergraduate, and has held part-time or adjunct positions in Columbia University’s Avery and Butler Libraries, the New-York Historical Society, and New York University’s Bobst Library.

She holds a BA from Barnard College and an MS in library service from Columbia University. Susanne has also completed the Modern Archives Institute at the National Archives.
