Rokeya Rahman
Rokeya Rahman serves as a senior grants manager. She brings over 12 years of nonprofit experience to Mellon. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Rahman was a grants manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust, where she managed grantmaking operations and compliance across Helmsley's programs. She also conducted staff training, maintained the foundation grantmaking database, handled the grants testing of the annual audit, and implemented process improvements to ensure a seamless grantmaking process. Before joining Helmsley, she was a corporate responsibility specialist in the Office of Nonprofit Engagement (ONE) at JPMorgan Chase, where she supported grantmaking operations and helped execute the firm's public engagement activities.
Ms. Rahman began her career at education nonprofits, working in development at Link Community School and on corporate relations at NYU Stern School of Business. She is currently pursuing an executive MPA from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and received a BA in political science from Rutgers University
