Alexis Ortiz is a senior program associate in the Office of the President, where she manages the grantmaking for the Puerto Rico and Imagining Freedom Presidential Initiatives. She previously served as a program associate for the Arts and Culture program.

Alexis previously held positions at the Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Lisa Booth Management, through which she supported artists from around the world and produced performances at venues ranging from the White House to SXSW. She is a member of the board of directors of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and has participated in the Hispanics in Philanthropy Líderes Fellowship, EDGE Funders Alliance’s Global Engagement Lab, North Star Fund’s People Power Giving Project, and the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures Leadership Institute.

Alexis holds a BA magna cum laude in political science and Latin American studies from Yale University and an MA in international administration from the University of Miami.
