Raquel Thompson

Raquel Thompson is a program associate in the Office of the President where she engages in all aspects of the Monuments Project grantmaking and strategy.

Prior to joining Mellon, Raquel served as the inaugural Head of Program at OF/BY/FOR ALL, where she led the organization's recently launched flagship program, which equips cultural organizations across the US, Europe, and Latin America to be in right relationship with the communities in and around their institutions. In a previous senior manager role at The OpEd Project, Raquel supported underrepresented Americans to bring their voice and expertise into the public domain to shape critical conversations at catalytic moments. She also spent four years on Ashoka’s Africa team, identifying and supporting leading social entrepreneurs across the continent and the globe.

Raquel holds a BA in political science from Yale University.
